Paediatrics & Neonatology

The Department of Paediatrics includes a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Paediatric Ward, Paediatric Allergy Clinic, Paediatric Child Guidance Clinic, & Well Baby Clinic run by a team of well qualified specialists. These specialists render services which include general paediatrics, immunisation, neonatal surgery & specialized neonatal care.

The department has a 12 – bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, & a 11- bed dedicated Paediatric ward. Our NICU is one of the oldest and best of its kind in Eastern India. The Neonatal Care Unit handles premature and small-for-date neonates with life support systems like servo Controlled incubators, open care units, pulse oxymeters, ventilators, phototherapy, & transport incubators.

The Well Baby Clinic provides immunization, vaccination, to children and counseling for young mothers. The department has equipment like CPAP, transport incubators, to transfer babies born in other hospitals and nursing homes to Devan Hospital for specialized treatment. Our incubators and ventilator support systems and treatment procedures are second to none in this region.

General paediatrics, Neonatology, Infectious diseases, Paediatric NICU, Paediatric Psychiatry and counselling, Lung diseases including bronchoscopy, Rheumatology (joint disorders), Adolescent medicine

The Department of Paediatric Surgery at Devan Hospital & Devi Jain Research Centre is well-equipped to handle all elective and emergency pediatric and neonatal surgeries.
